Who can use Pencil

These terms are between you and Pencil (“we” below). You must be 16 or older to use Pencil. Your account is for you alone, and the email you sign up with is your account.

You are in charge of every form

Pencil shows you each value before it writes anything, and fills only what you approve. It never presses a form’s submit button. You are responsible for checking what a form holds and for what you send.

Your content

What you put into Pencil stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run Pencil for you, as the privacy policy describes. We do not use it to train AI models.

AI tools you connect

You can connect an AI tool, such as Claude or ChatGPT, to read your Pencil memory. Each tool is run by its own company under its own terms. You choose which tools you connect and what each may read, and you are responsible for those tools and for what you do with what they write. You can pause or remove a tool at any time in the dashboard, under AI tools.

Fair use

Do not use Pencil to:

• fill forms in someone else’s name without their permission
• send forms in bulk, or apply to many places at once without reading each form
• break a site’s own rules, or the law
• attack, overload, copy or take apart the service

Forms change

Sites change their forms, and Pencil can fill a field wrongly or miss one. Pencil comes as it is, without a promise that every value is right or that a site will accept a form. Check each form before you submit it.

Plans and billing

Two plans. Free costs nothing and fills a limited number of forms each month, as shown on the pricing page. A form counts once a month, the first time Pencil reviews it or fills a field in it; once the month’s forms are used, new forms wait until the next month. Pro removes that limit and adds the features the pricing page lists. There is no trial.

Payment. Pro is sold by Dodo Payments, as the merchant of record. Dodo takes the payment, adds any tax that applies, and sends your receipts, and its own terms apply to the purchase. Pencil never sees your card or UPI details.

Renewing and cancelling. Pro renews at the end of each month or year, as you chose, until you cancel. You can cancel any time in Settings, under Plan. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then your account moves to Free. Nothing is deleted when it does.

Changes to prices. We may change prices or the Free limits. A new Pro price applies from your next renewal, and we tell you before it does.

Changes to Pencil

We may change, add or remove features, and Pencil may sometimes be unavailable. Before a change to these terms that affects you takes effect, we tell you in the dashboard or by email.

Ending your account

You can close your account at any time in Settings, under Your data, or by writing to hello@usepencil.xyz. Closing it deletes everything Pencil keeps for you. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for the result of a form you sent. Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you.

These terms follow the law of India.
